Don't worry Lacey.Roleplaying isn't as easy as it seems.
You need lots of experience and you also have to read many books
For example I read Harry Potter when I was only 6 and a half

But you'll learn in time and will know when to behave in and out of character.
Let me explain you a few things

*My character is Opal Cullen.So when I'm roleplaying,I'm a moody vampire adopted by the Cullens.I'm 45 years old and lived my childhood at the 70's.
I'm angry because they turned me into a vampire and my family abandoned me.I hate Shapeshifters,Werewolves etc.

**In contrast,in real life I was born in the 90's,love werewolves and the Quiletes and would love to be turned into a vampire if they really existed.

Can you see the difference?Opal the vampire and Opal the human are two totally different persons
Also if your character was born in another era than you did,you might have to do a little research about the clothing,the habbits,the tastes etc of that time
